(Just Music 2016)
Before work started on Ghost Stations (the ninth Marconi Union album) the band made a conscious decision to set aside any preconceptions and instead began a two year period of experimentation in the studio. Large parts of the album were played completely live and then comprehensively edited and re-arranged. Over time a theme emerged and when the title Ghost Stations was suggested, the band felt it perfectly captured the mood of the music, being suggestive of abandonment and deserted spaces.
Ghost Stations features guest musicians, Andy Dobson (Digitonal) on clarinet and previous MU collaborator, Giorgio Li Calzi on trumpet.
